Welcome to Sailship Training & Learning for Life ~ We champion work & life skills training for people living with a learning disability, of all ages. We offer support for improved mental heath and well-being to people who may be recovering from injury/illness, through therapeutic programmes and counselling and offer pathways back into employment.

We are a not for profit Community Interest Company (CIC) which means we do not take any money we make as profit. Instead we re-invest it into the project to ensure we deliver the best possible service to our community.
Funded by The Big Lottery and Anglian Community Trust (ACT), the Sailship horticultural and crafting base is situated off Fairclough Avenue, in Clacton-on-Sea.
There are many horticultural opportunities available to trainees here and various crafting workshops are on offer. Trainees are supported to create and produce high quality items to sell at farmers markets, local fairs and online.
We aspire to have a shop in Clacton, in the fullness of time.

'Sailship Kitchen Crafts - Catering Skills for Retail'
Together, staff and trainees will develop a cottage kitchen craft enterprise producing our own brand of preserves jams, jellies and chutneys etc. alongside other kitchen craft projects, such as preparation of soups, baking and cake decorating workshops, using produce grown at Sailship.
