Kitchen Enterprise
An Essex County Council/Tendring District Council registered small manufacturer and retailer of preserves, Sailship offers accreditation via ASDAN Employability and non accreditation catering experiences in it's bespoke kitchen.
Working in the preserves enterprise affords you the opportunity to create, make and sell the preserves and also to take part in the packaging of the products - labelling and creating the mop top toppers for our jars.
You will also learn about health & safety and food hygiene in the kitchen along with stock management and retail distribution.

We have lots of fun creating our own ranges of Jams, Jellies, Chutneys and Pickle preserves which we sell on site and at markets/fairs etc.
Produce used to make our preserves is sown, grown and harvested here at Sailship by our Trainee team within the Commercial Horticulture enterprise.
