Meet The Team

"I’ve volunteered for a number of charities over the years and earlier this year I was taken on at CVST (Community Volunteering Services Tendring). I was subsequently asked by Nicky at CVST to attend a presentation by Elizabeth. I was very impressed by her and her project. It was clear to me that I had many skills to offer Sailship; I have a mechanical engineering background as was, for a time, a teacher at secondary schools and have special needs experience.

Sailship arranged a container for me to house my tools and equipment, lock, stock and barrel at the site it occupies. It will all stay with Sailship from now on and will be left with them. There is very little that I cannot tackle. I hope to work with the trainees at some time but, at the moment, I’m assisting with the infrastructure on site. I’ll also be instructing staff and volunteers in the use of tools.

In essence, joining Sailship has given me the opportunity to apply a lifetime of acquired skills to a valiant cause. Happy bunny!"

Sailship is hugely grateful to Paul, who is as he says a 'happy bunny'. Paul has supported us via his Voluntary role in many ways. He has helped us to construct our wildlife pond, assisted with land developmentand is currently setting up wood and metalwork workshops for our service users.

Paul is a unique person who offers so much of himself to his causes. We are very grateful indeed for his support!
